Telecom Italia Labs

January 2012 - April 2012

PHP YII & Java Camel Frameworks junior developer

Telecom Italia s.p.a. is the most important Italian IT and TLC company with multiple offices located in the whole Italy. In 2012 I spent a couple of months working in their Turin (Italy) based research facility. I were based in a little team and my role were to build a YII framework based user interface for user- machine interaction and to create some Java's routing procedures for network communications routing based on Java Camel framework, on two different projects. Has been an experience that allowed me to move my first steps in the work environment, and between the many systems that are used in the modern software development teams.

JMax s.r.l.

March 2014 - November 2014

Freelance IBM iSeries and Android developer

Starting from the beginning of 2014 I worked on-site as a freelance consultant for a software development company based in the venetian mainland where I provided my services by developing software on the IBM iSeries servers' systems. Having the opportunity to develop software on legacy systems, as well as putting my fingers on software built before I was even born, increased a lot my troubleshooting, code interpretation and problem solving skills. As a plus I gained experience in the large-scale distribution, and I could test a development environment that not every young developer know. This is for sure one of the most formative experiences I had, and one I'm very proud of.

End Developer

January 2015 - April 2015

Freelance Server Back

During 2015 I worked as freelance PHP lead developer for ARIAA s.r.l., a company based in Rovereto, Italy. In ARIAA I had to optimize, expand, and update the server-side software, based on the Laravel PHP framework, of their express couriers comparing website “Spedire.com”. I was also involved in the first phase of the code reflow of whole website, as well as in the analysis related to the development of some new software produced by the company.

June 2015 - January 2016

Freelance Zend Framework Developer & Troubleshooter

With I-GLUE I experienced technologies that I never had the opportunity to study and experiment in past like Zend Framework and some front-end Javascript technologies. Troubleshooting on big platforms like the ones managed by I-GLUE offered me everyday new challenges and allowed me to grow my development skills in order to develop cleaner, more efficient and better code.

Gemmo s.p.a.

September 2015 - September 2015

Freelance Backend Developer

I worked with Gemmo s.p.a. for about an year to the "Ospedale dell'Angelo'' Hospital in Venice, they asked me to build a software for the management of their internal material's warehouse. The management software has been based on a web interface living on the Laravel (v. 5.1) PHP Framework. I followed all the development process and built every part of the software, including the front-end and some very basic graphic-integrations. It has been and will be a interesting challenge with some possible future developments. In the last months I'm working on the upgrade to newer Laravel versions and a distributed architecture between their other locations.

Stack Developer

January 2016 - January 2016

Freelance Full

Since the early months of 2016 I started an interesting collaboration with Fixr/MessaSoftware, a Turin based web agency. For them I followed all the development process that is behind product as eCommerce and warehouse management solutions, basing on top of my previous experiences. Being this agency so little, I learned how to manage a complex project from A to Z, and I enlarged my interdisciplinary skills between programming languages and development phases. Between the biggest projects I had to remaster a big CodeIgniter's based e-commerce app, which needed some core improvements and enlargements, plus the development of a new set of APIs to be used by external retails applications. APIs that I developed as an external microservice built on top of Slim. I also worked at other projects, as an assets/file management application for a large company, and an EAN management solution for the Large-scale retail channels.

Aria s.r.l.

February 2016 - August 2016

Firmware Developer for IoT wearable devices

Between my experiences I worked with Aria s.r.l., early-stage startup in the wearable devices sector, with their main base in Foggia, city located in the south of Italy. For them I had to write code based on the Texas-Instruments CC2541 microcontroller, which comes with built-in BLE functionality. The experience I matured was so interesting, mainly because of the other team members' interaction and the possibility to restart working on physical devices after years spent on server applications.

AG Digital Media s.r.l.

January 2017 - March 2017

Freelance Backend Developer

After a break from work, due to have restarted my studies in Turin, I come back working as software developer with AG Digital Media, working on some online press services. In the three months of collaboration with them I had the opportunity to build some social networks data analytics tools, authentication and authorizations services and social contents auto-tagging tools. This experience also allowed me to take a look to the fascinating world of machine learning. Working in a team, also if I mainly worked from home with the help of communications tools and apps, allowed me to learn a lot and to improve my skills, both as a developer and as a person. The services I developed are based on PHP Laravel (v.5.4) framework, as well as in pure Python language.

Stack Web Developer

May 2017 - October 2017

Newsflare gave me the opportunity to have a completely new experience. Working in a team, everyday shoulder against shoulder with my colleagues is something I completely missed in the previous years spent working as a freelancer. Lots has been learned in terms of agile methodologies as my team is a full agile team, as well as in terms of interaction with AWS services.
