* Created, monitored and maintained the virtual servers (VM) situated on the physical servers at BT multiple data centres, as a key team member of the Virtual Access Team. These servers were used by employees and partners company-wide and we provided 2nd line support for all users worldwide 24/7. We rotated shifts and I frequently worked unsociable hours * Managed several sub-projects which mostly involved creating, configuring and documenting all VMs required for new server platforms, and was responsible for reviewing and updating or archiving all of our team's documentations hosted on SharePoint and OneNote. * Drafted and presented plans and proposals of future projects to all relevant parties occasionally for approval and funding. * Successfully chaired morning conference calls and weekly team meetings. * Managing services and application hosted through our Citrix system on VPN to allow users (which included BT Employees and some of our clients and Development Partners) to access files and applications hosted on our remote servers. * Create a new web platform (using HTML/Javascript) hosted on the intranet that queried our server platform (using sql/powershell commands) and provided a live 24/7 up to date health status of the platform on a simple graphical layout using pie charts and colour coding representation. * Managed small projects which involved the deployment of new Versions of softwares on the Vms that we managed. Coordinated and liaised with the various Software developers and Vendors. Ensure that the deployment went smoothly and that our server platform was protected at all times.
